Day 8: July 19

今日は、ノイシュヴァンシュタイン城とホーエンシュヴァンガウ城に行った。今日は天気にも恵まれ、気温も暑くも寒くも無い天候であった。ホーエンシュヴァンガウには、時間通りに着いたが、そこからが大変だった。まず、チケットセンターの１００m手前で皆口を開けた。なんと、チケット売り場まで長蛇の列ができているのだ。仕方がないので一時間かけて並んだが、やっとの思いで窓口に辿り着いた時、またもやショッキングな出来事が起こった。「団体は向こうの受付ですよ」と受付の人が言うのである。「えっ」という声とともに、指を指された方向を見ると、ほとんど誰も並んでいない団体専用の窓口があった。入口の掲示板には団体の文字はどこにも見当たらず、Guidesとしか書かれていないのだ。これを見て誰が団体専用の入口と分かるのだろうか。これもまた仕方なかったが、皆頭をかしげながらチケットを購入した。ノイシュヴァンシュタイン城の見学は４時55分からしかなく、せっかくなので2時50分からのホーエンシュヴァンガウ城も見学する事にした。チケットの事前購入や混み具合など、最悪の事態を考えておくべきだったといい教訓になった。ホーエンシュヴァンガウ城はなかなかの内装で、ノイシュヴァンシュタイン城の城主であるルートヴィヒ2世とその弟が住んだ城だそうだ。30分ほどでホーエンシュヴァンガウ城の見学を終え、その後ノイシュヴァンシュタイン城に向かった。当初馬車で行く予定だったが、ここもかなり並んでいた為、時間の都合上徒歩で行くことになった。城までは40分近くかかると書いてあったが、20分たらずで登る事ができた。さすがシンデレラ城のモデルとなっただけあり、外装・内装ともに美しく且つ豪華絢爛な作りである。城内では皆階段の長さに驚いていた。ノイシュヴァンシュタイン城見学後は、疲れながらもマリエン橋まで足をのばし、すいこまれてしまいそうなシンデレラ城のモデルを心ゆくまで堪能した。帰りこそは馬車をと思っていたが結局それも叶わず、登りも下りも歩いた。今日は一日中様々なハプニングに見舞われたが、無事城を見ることもユースに帰ってくる事もできた。

We took a train a bus to get to Hohenschwangau and Neischwanstein. It was a perfect weather to visit there. However since we did not have the tour tickets we had to wait about an hour in 100 line to get the ticket center. We should have assumed the amounts of tourists. Finally after two hours of waiting we were able to get to Hohenschwangau. There, we toured inside for half an hour. There were many man-made fountains and many gorgeous gifts for king Maximilium and Ludwig. Later on, we we decided to walk to Neuschwangau rather than taking a carriage since ther were also really long time to wait. we walked uphill about 20 mins and finally we were able to see the castle which is the model of Cinderella`s castle. we could see the opera room, living room, bed rooms, kitchen etc. I could not believe that the people made such a beautiful castle on olden times. Then we went Marien bridge where we can see the castle very beautiful. We were hoping to get a carriage but it was already out of service so we all walked down to the bus stop. Then we were able to get the express to Munich central station at half past ten. We had a busy day but fortunately everything went fine and I was happy to see everything.
